2. Privacy policy
2.1 Controller
The controller of any personal data processed through this website is IS4Science, identified above. You can reach us about privacy matters at [email protected].
2.2 What we process, and why
- Messages you send us. When you contact us by email we process your name, email address and the content of your message in order to answer you and, where applicable, to prepare a proposal. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries. We keep these messages for as long as the matter is open and afterwards for the period required by our legal and accounting obligations.
- Technical access logs. Like every website, the servers that host this site record technical data about each request: IP address, date and time, page requested and browser type. These logs are used only to keep the site secure and available, and are deleted after a limited period. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in the security of the service.
- Theme preference. If you switch between the dark and light theme, your choice is stored in your browser's local storage so that it is remembered on your next visit. This value contains no personal data and is never sent to us.
2.3 Cookies and third parties
This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising or social-media trackers. Fonts, images and background videos are served from our own site, so no third party receives data about your visit through this site.
2.4 Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with the service providers needed to run the site and our email (hosting and email providers), who act on our instructions, and with public authorities when the law requires it. Our providers process data within the European Economic Area or under the safeguards required by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2.5 Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify and erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, write to [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese supervisory authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (www.cnpd.pt).

The content of this website, including text, logos, diagrams and screenshots, belongs to IS4Science and may not be reproduced without permission. Background footage is used under licence from its authors.

The information on this website is provided for general information and is updated with reasonable care. It does not constitute a contractual offer. IS4Science is not responsible for the content of external websites linked from these pages.
